Pakistan Planning and Management Institute (PPMI), set up by Planning and Development Division, Government of Pakistan is a specialized Institution for capacity building of officers of Federal, Provincial and District Governments, and Public Sector Organizations (PSOs), in the broad areas of Project Management (Identification, Formulation, Appraisal, Implementation and M&E), and Macroeconomic Management.  

The objectives of PPMI are to improve technical and analytical skills and enhance expertise of the Federal, Provincial and district government officers, in the following areas:

• Project identification, formulation, appraisal, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

• Macroeconomic planning & management (Public Finance, Debt management, etc.)

• Participatory Planning and Development, Gender and Development.

• Application of computer softwares / Information Technology in specialized fields.

Besides above mentioned target groups, representation is also given to the PSOs and NGOs. PPMI intends to extend its training facilities to the nominees from OIC, ECO and SAARC countries.
